Features for IT Managers
Granular access rights on a user or role level
Sitefinity supports different authentication methods (Active Directory, Windows Authentication, forms authentication, etc). To maintain the integrity of your website, Sitefinity also allows you to set extremely granular security with unique user-level permissions attached to everything in the CMS from a single content item, to pages, CMS settings, and configuration. For easier management, you can assign users to groups who share similar roles and therefore need similar permissions.

System workflows
Sitefinity adapts to the way you work and to your organization’s business processes. Default workflows support processes involving one or more levels of approval before publishing. For scenarios, which extend beyond content approval, you can upload your own custom workflows, allowing you to:
- Set conditional approval steps;
- Apply safeguards to ensure that certain words or phrases will not be published;
- Receive notifications if someone is away or if there is content pending approval;
- Many additional features built on top of Windows Workflow Foundation 4.

Site Synchronization for Multi-site management
Designed especially for the needs of enterprise websites, the new site synchronization technology, based on the CMIS standard, ensures content synchronization of content blocks, news, blogs, documents, videos, pages, templates as well as taxonomies among your servers and websites. You can add as many servers as you need, depending on your infrastructure (example: development, test, production). Whenever you make content updates, you can sync the data to ensure that changes are reflected on all servers and the information is up-to-date on your website.
