Site Synchronization for Multi-site management
Designed especially for the needs of enterprise websites, the new site synchronization technology, based on the CMIS standard, ensures content synchronization of content blocks, news, blogs, documents, videos, pages, templates as well as taxonomies among your servers and websites. You can add as many servers as you need, depending on your infrastructure (example: development, test, production). Whenever you make content updates, you can sync the data to ensure that changes are reflected on all servers and the information is up-to-date on your website.
Configurations and Policies
Sitefinity configuration settings can be modified directly from the CMS instead of using the web.config file. All project-specific characteristics (appearance, data, controls, meta-fields, providers, etc) can be modified using a web-based editor. Furthermore, you can create multiple configurations for different CMS users and roles and attach them to policies (domain, users, roles, pages, etc). Through configurations and policies Sitefinity can adapt to any project requirement. In addition, all configuration settings are centralized and customizations are protected during project upgrades.
GRANULAR PERMISSIONS
Sitefinity supports extremely granular security that allows unique user-level permissions to be attached to everything in the CMS from a single content item, to pages and CMS settings and configuration. For easier management, you can assign users to groups, who share similar roles and therefore need similar permissions.
Personalization
Every CMS allows you to customize the pages visible to your site visitors, but Sitefinity also allows you to manage the administrative backend of a Sitefinity project. This enables you to personalize Sitefinity based on the roles and the responsibilities of the different CMS users, thus simplifying the interface and reducing possibilities of error.
Content organization
As data volumes in your organization increase, so does the need for organization. By tagging and categorizing your content Sitefinity allows you to organize the information better and make it more accessible. These classifications can be used across different content to support accurate search and guided navigation. Taxonomies can be combined with your SEO strategy to improve further the discoverability of your web pages’ content.
