With the release of Sitefinity 5.4, we, at Falafel Software Inc, have been very energized and extremely pleased with the quality and direction of the product. Hats off to the entire Sitefinity team at Telerik for a job well done.

Over the past year, we have seen increased demand for Sitefinity consulting and training and our Sitefinity department at Falafel has doubled in size as a result. We are very proud that we have some of the best and brightest in the industry working on Sitefinity projects for dozens of fortune 500 companies in the USA, Europe, Far East and Australia.

We are also honored that several Platinum and Gold partners of Sitefinity count on Falafel Software during their projects as a resource for complicated problems or integrations with less-familiar outside systems.

The release of Sitefinity 5.4 brought incredible speed to the frontend and backend by pre-compiling the widget templates. Loading of 800 assemblies at runtime is now reduced to ONE assembly pre-compiled and shipped with the product. But wait, there's more!

  • The ability to load resources with js and css extensions like .less has been a great plus in Sitefinity 5.4
  • The caching dependency of css files on the server being pushed to the client is a great addition.
  • Kendo UI is now fully available through the ResourceLinks control.
  • The new File Upload widget in the Forms Builder make it very easy to allow the uploading of any kind of file with public submissions.
  • Responsive Design for mobile layouts is now supported “per page” instead of all-or-nothing.
  • There are plenty of other additions and improvements that I recommend for you to take a look at here.

It has been great to watch the evolution of Sitefinity from its earlier days, to the reliable business tool it is today. Companies are now focused on accomplishing great things with the solid Sitefinity framework, whether it's integration with their own system, external systems, building new modules or widgets.

Falafel Tornado Just last week, one of our Sitefinity architects, Basem Emara, published a preview of our new and upcoming Falafel Tornado that will allow Sitefinity admins and designers to create powerful Widgets in Sitefinity from the backend without  ever touching Visual Studio.

The FREE Falafel Dashboard has been downloaded over a thousand times and is currently serving many backends of major corporations with speed and many options.

We have lots of other projects in the Falafel Lab for Sitefinity including additions to Responsive Design, Forms, Video providers and many others…

Please visit the Falafel Software page on the Sitefinity marketplace to check out the dozens of modules and widgets that we have contributed to the community in the last 5 years.

We would love to thank Telerik and the entire Sitefinity community for their support and encouragement and we look forward to receiving your feedbacks and wish list for future releases from all of us here at Falafel Software.
