Sneak Preview: Sitefinity Template Builder coming soon

by Hristo Borisov

While the Sitefinity team is preparing for the upcoming Sitefinity 4.2 release that will feature a new e-commerce module, file storage provider, Sitefinity 3.7 migration module and many more I will share a new goodie that wasn’t announced in our public roadmap!

Coming with the Sitefinity SDK 4.2 release, Telerik is releasing a brand new Template Builder that allows you to create template & themes for your Sitefinity websites with a snap. The template builder will be hosted online and will allow Sitefinity users who don’t have a strong experience in CSS & HTML to create unique templates. Importing these templates will be possible with a single click with a Template Importer module delivered as a sample module in the upcoming Sitefinity SDK 4.2 release.

The template builder will output a regular ASP.NET Master-page complemented with the necessary style sheet files and images based on the stunning template you have created using only drag & drop functionality. If you still want to empower your template with your own styling skills, you can easily use the template builder to create your first version of the template and then modify the outputted master page and css to suit your specific needs.

Below is a short video and a set of images we have setup for you that will go over the most interesting aspects of the early preview version as shown to the Sitefinity community! To learn about the latest Sitefinity developments, join our fan page on Facebook   or follow us on Twitter  .
