In Sitefinity 5.2, we have added the following new features:

Multi-currency in Ecommerce
The new Multi-currency feature allows merchants to configure different currencies for their online store. The merchant is be able to update the exchange rate manually or schedule an Exchange Rate service such as XE or European Central Bank (ECB) to run daily.  There is an exchange rate provider model to customize rates from other exchange rate services.

Shoppers can conveniently change to their preferred currency during the shopping experience seeing converted prices on the product list, product detail, shopping cart and throughout the checkout creating higher sales and revenue.

Shop-by Filters
Customers can quickly find the product they are looking for by narrowing down the product listing by applying filters.

The filters can be applied by department, tags, price ranges, product types, and custom classifications such as “Brand” or “Manufacturer”.  Merchants can configure the price ranges to meet their own requirements and they can set the display mode to vertical, horizontal or dropdown.

Sorting on Product List Widget
Customers can now select the sorting they prefer such as lowest price, highest price, A to Z, Z to A or newest products on the product listing.

USPS Real-time shipping rates
The merchant can configure USPS to display real-time shipping rates during checkout so the customer can select their preferred shipping service.

Documents & Files
Allows the merchant the ability to add documents & files to a product which will display on the product detail page as links useful for user guides, manuals, pdfs, etc…

Support for Cyrillic characters
Cyrillic characters can now be used while shoppers are checking out for any language around the globe.

Set Default Country for Checkout pages
Merchants can set their default country which will display during the first checkout by the customer. Once the customer checks out they then have a profile and their selected country will be saved with their profile.

New Events exposed
Two new events are available for extensibility.  The first is "Checkout Events".  Checkout events now fire on the submission of each page of the checkout.  This allows for many customized scenarios such as collecting specific information from the customer or asking if the customer wants to join the store newsletter.  The second event is "Order Status Changed" event which fires when the order status is changed meaning the order is marked Shipped for example.
