Sitefinity is now on the Azure marketplace, and you can deploy and evaluate it with just a click.

The Progress Sitefinity CMS fully supports Azure deployments, so we decided to go the extra mile to further ease the evaluation and development processes for Azure users. By publishing Sitefinity on the Azure marketplace and supporting one-click deployment, people who want to evaluate or develop with the product can take advantage of this deployment option.

No matter where you deploy it from (through the marketplace or via one-click deployment), the actual project will be hosted on Azure App Services with the preselected configuration. The first prerequisite is having an active account in the Azure portal. Once you initiate the process from either of the options, you will be redirected to the Azure portal to complete the deployment. Keep in mind that the config settings could be changed during the setup process.

Lastly, to access the admin panel and run the website, you will need to have a license file. Go to our website and get one.

Evaluation and/or Development

Idea Plan Action

If you want to evaluate the product with a clean instance, there is no need to be technically advanced. You can use the above methods and, just by clicking “next, next… finish,” Sitefinity will be deployed without a problem and you can explore the product and its functionalities.

If you want to use this instance for development, you can get the deployed source code from the Azure App Service instance or get the blank solution from GitHub. Once you choose, you should use the standard way of deployment on Azure. You can find more info on our YouTube channel or documentation about how to deploy Sitefinity on Azure, best practices and more.
