  • Managing Content for Payments Gateway

    • We had evaluated many other content management systems, forums, and blogs before settling on Sitefinity. We needed an enterprise class application that our .NET developers could easily modify and provide as much out of the box functionality as possible. Sitefinity saved us development time and allowed our team to concentrate on our core products.

      Financial Services
Payments Gateway, launched in early 2001, is a key member of the family of ecommerce solutions provided by ACH Direct, Inc., one of the largest and fastest growing privately held payment processing companies in the United States.

Since its initial design, the primary mission of Payments Gateway has been to provide organizations of all types and sizes a flexible, reliable and cost effective tool for automating and managing their payment processing functions. The role of Payments Gateway continues to expand and evolve and now includes a wide variety of complementary capabilities such as risk management and compliance tools making it one of the premier payment processing solutions.
Import content from various formats into the CMS, expanding on existing modules as necessary. Import the site template into Sitefinity. Create controls for custom functionality
Sitefinity has an attractive and intuitive UI for business users. Its modules, such as blogs, allowed the customizations we needed.
SQL Server 2008 R2; ASP.NET; Rackspace Cloud VPS
Content was easy to manage and import, since we could copy and paste from word. The existing modules allowed us to customize them to fit our needs. Sitefinity allowed us to create page templates as give a uniform look to the website.
  • The Challenge

When JMA Web Technologies arrived, content was in HTML, PDF, and word format. User forums and profiles were stored in a separate system, which was separate from the website. This information needed to be content managed with all user information under one system, using ASP.NET. Software documentation needed updating, for newer versions of the software, and JMA Web Technologies provided technical writing services for the project.

    The Solution

Payments Gateway chose Sitefinity because the user interface is intuitive. Business users can easily maintain content. The blogs module allowed the customizations, which include thumbnails and ratings, and pasting from MS Word. With no limit on design, the website has stunning imagery and animations, ranging from the home page’s slide show to the login drop down, located on top of each page. We were able to integrate several jQuery animation plugins throughout the website, by creating controls and inserting files references on templates, ensuring that changes were quickly made on a global level.

    The Result

The staff included one back end developer, one web designer who did the templates and graphics and two content contributors. The project was completed in 4 months, but the web designer and software developer are involved in maintenance and upgrades throughout the year. Because Sitefinity allowed us to use templates, content was better organized and the website has a uniform appearance. If we made a change in one area, it would change all instances throughout the website. One example is the drop down login menu.
