Roger West implemented Sitefinity CMS 3.2 for Tribridge’s older website several years prior to this project, because it was robust enough to handle the enterprise-level, content-heavy website, flexible enough for innovative customization, and easy enough for the entire marketing team to use. This time around the choice for Sitefinity 3.6 was clear.

  • The Challenge

Over the past three years, the Tribridge marketing team has partnered with Roger West Creative and Code to build and promote their brand through traditional marketing, lead generation campaigns, web design, online marketing, and custom web programming projects. As part of the 2009 marketing initiative, Roger West worked to revamp the company’s website with fresh design, campaign-driven content, and a customized Sitefinity CMS upgrade from version 3.2 to 3.6.

In addition to the basic web design and web development required for launching an enterprise-level website, Tribridge was looking for several custom features to enhance their online marketing abilities. In particular, they needed solutions to manage:

    • A large library of resources, including case studies, whitepapers, podcasts, and news articles.
    • Ongoing marketing campaigns complete with vanity URLs, landing pages, micro-sites, and web forms.
    • Information, registration and event reminders for live events and webinars, and seamlessly integrate event information with their CRM.Content-heavy areas within the top and lower levels of the website.

    The Solution

The Roger West team developed the new website within Sitefinity CMS 3.6 and created a variety of custom user controls and modules to help the Tribridge team streamline their marketing initiatives.

A Custom Resource Lists Module was developed to allow the marketing team to manage dynamic lists of resources based on predetermined content categories, which can then be displayed within a page based on category selections. The module also allows the user to display the lists as plain text or active links, and with or without icons to indicate file type (eg. .pdf, .wmv, .docx).

Both a user control and a module were required to manage ongoing marketing campaigns. A Landing Page User Control was created as a form generator for lead generation campaigns. The user can easily customize form fields, field requirements, and thank you messages. Plus, the form integrates directly with the company’s Customer Relationship Manager. A custom Vanity URL Module allows the user to manage 301 and 302 redirects via 404 URLs when Vanity URLs are needed in print marketing campaigns.

The built-in Events module was customized to create an Events and Webinars Management Module for the Tribridge marketing team to publish new events and event information, manage registration and send thank you messages to registrants and automated event reminders.

Additionally, the marketing team wanted to highlight the new Industry section added to the website. To meet this need, the Roger West team developed a Custom Drop-Down Menu User Control that allows the user to create a drop-down menu by selecting a page group within the sitemap. The control creates a jump menu for each page and sub-pages within the page group. The drop-down was placed on the homepage as an Industry Finder so visitors could select their industry of interest.

    The Results

In less than two months, Tribridge is already realizing notable results. The website has experienced a considerable increase in traffic from both previous and new visitors, and those visitors are spending a longer amount of time on the website exploring new content. Goal conversions have also increased, indicating that the new website is generating leads and sales for the company.

Most importantly, the marketing team can easily manage resources, events, webinars, landing pages, URLs and other content using the new custom tools from Roger West. “The tools from Roger West enable us to streamline our marketing efforts to fully maximize ROI,” says Jennie Treby, Senior Marketing Manager for Tribridge.
