    The rad editor in one of our contact forms seems to take quite a while to load. It is pretty trimmed down as far as toolbars. Has anyone else seen this issue.

    Sincerely,

    Ben

    Hello bnye,

    By default, ASP.NET Web pages and code files are compiled dynamically when users first request a page from the Web site. Therefore, there is a delay sometimes when you first navigate the site. This is normal behavior of all ASP.NET Web applications. After first compilation, the compiled resources are cached, so that subsequent requests to the same page are a lot more efficient.

    We suspect that it just takes too long to load the JavaScript files. Please check if they are cached by the browser.
    Also, try setting debug="false" in the web.config file if you want to cache the Web resources on the site:
    ...
    <system.web>
      ...
      <compilation debug="false">
    ...
    We would also recommend that you install a tool like HttpWatch and check what the browser is doing.

    Hope this information will help. Please let us know if there is something else we could help you with.

    Kind regards,
    Rebecca

    I was able to solve the page compilation issue and JIT initialization at my host by creating automatic scheduled tasks. Essentially the host allows you to create a service that hits you web site every 30 minutes. I thought I would mention it here because some hosts may not allow you to adjust the application pool, but they may offer that service. Other Sitefinity developers may want to ask before committing to a host.

    As far as the Rad Editor it sounds like I am not caching the resource files.

    Thank you for the response.

    Sincerely,

    Ben
