I have a feature request that will be very useful to most webmasters, which would be a great integration for Sitefinity.  I am not sure if most of your users are aware but MSN, Yahoo and Google and come up with a sitemaps protocol which basically gives allows webmasters to give the structure of their site to the search engines so they know all of the pages to crawl.

So I have succesfully modified and example of Google Sitemaps for ASP.NET 2.0  to work with Sitefinity 3.0 there wasn't much tweaking needed to be done, I just had to add some code to change the '~' to the application path....

So knowing it can be done, the feature really is.... can this handler be included in Sitefinity by default? And would it be possible so for the Sitefinity Sitemap Provider exposes the last modified date of the pages to the handler, with the possibility of adding the Change Frequency and priority to the page properties in the Page Editor of Sitefinity?

I think this would be a great addition to an already awesome product and I don't think it would be too much work to add it.  If you would like me to send you the source code of my modified Sitemap handler please let me know, but I am sure you brighter than me so I doubt you need mine....

I am really looking forward to seeing Beta 3 this week!

    Kind Regards

    Hello Sean,

We are absolutely positive that this will be a very useful enhancement. We logged it in our tracking system and we'll intergrate it in one of the upcoming releases.

Thanks for offering to send us your source code and for your continued support. Let us know if you have other ideas about improving Sitefinity. We will be glad to discuss them with you.

    Sincerely yours,
    the telerik team
