    Hi,

    The Beta 3 v2 is looking great!  Thanks guys.  Can't wait to see the final release!!!

    I would like to know what the options are for having the generic editor have more options (advanced editing for clients).  Or do I need to build one myself as a Web control?  i'd like to give them more of the options that your Rad Editor offers, plus I'd like them to see ONLY our site's styles available for the Apply CSS Class drop down.

    Are these options possible, and if so, what would I need to know to create one.  Is there documentation or has anyone else created such a web control that's available.

    Thanks for your help.

    Ben

    Hello Ben,

    Actually, you can enable all the options that r.a.d. editor offers for the Generic Content control.

    Thanks to the CssFiles property, you can specify as a string array the list of CSS files which you need the editor to use in the in Admin/GenericContent/Templates/EditorTemplate.ascx like this:

    CssFiles="~/Editor/Examples/ExternalCssFiles/styles1.css,~/Editor/Examples/ExternalCssFiles/styles2.css"

    Alternatively, you can modify the content of the Admin\Common\Skins\Editor\Default2\EditorContentArea.css file where the styles in the dropdown are taken from.

    Hi Jesse,

    I am not quite sure about your question, but basically all Generic content is saved in the database. If you want to edit the content in external editor, you should copy/paste the text from our Generic Content Editor, to the external one, edit it and after that copy/paste back.

    I hope this helps. If this is not what you are trying to achieve, please provide more details and I will do my best to help.

    Kind regards,
    Hrisi
