Is the codebehind for the Job.dbclass manually created or is that done by the NNDBClassGenerator? Why wasn't this installed with the latest build?

    Sincerely,

    Ben

    Hello Ben,

The designer classes of all .dbclass files are generated by the Nolics tool that integrates with Visual Studio. Nolics tools will not be installed with Sitefinity until the official release. You can download the trial version from http://www.nolics.net .

Please see the following topics in the Developer Manual for more details:
“Implementing Data Access with Nolics.net” and “Implementing Data Access in a Intra-Site Custom Module”.

Note that you are not required to use Nolics for data access. You can use ADO.Net or any other tool as well.

    Regards,

We would really like to take advantage of Nolics. We will download the trial. Unfortunately, that will leave us with a week between the end of the trial and the launch date.

    Thanks for the response,

    Ben

    Hello Ben,

The trial license affects only code generation. You can continue to use classes generated before the expiration. Also you can extend your trial period.

    Kind regards,
