    1/ Are-you implemented for this version a solution for SSL?
    2/ Solution for external pages ?
    3/ How to create a solution for specifics users?
              user registered -> simple pages in loged mode
              user registered & pay -> services pages in loged and SSL
        It's not possible to create for one user a specific treeview in one operation ( services opened and closed).

    Hello Romieux,

    Thanks for writing us. You can find the answers to your questions listed below:

    1. The solution for SSL will be available with the second beta of Sitefinity 3.0;
    2. We planned this feaure to be shipped with the official release of Sitefinity 3.0;
    3. I suggest that you create two different roles for the public users – the first one will be dedicated to the registered and second one to the non-registered users. Note that you have to restrict anonymous access and you should create a user role named, for example “Anonymous” and in Sitefinity3/Admin/Web.config you should set

    <authorization>

    ...

    <deny roles="Anonymous" users="?" />

    </authorization>

    Regarding the registration form, you can create a user or a custom control and upload it into the Add Controls Toolbox. We just developed this feature and it will be available with the second beta.

    4. Localization will be available with the officail release of Sitefinity 3.0.

    All the best,
    Bogdana Ivanova

    Hello Bodgana,

    Thanks for your answers.
    It's possible to explain more about "page permission for public users" in new version 3 such as v2.7. I need know it's possible to make a solution with page permissions for individuals users (not roles) linked with a payment gateway.

    I wish working with Layouts manager in beta2!.

    best regards

    Hi Romieux,

    It is nice to hear from you again.

    The security model of Sitefinity 3.0 is not different from that of Sitefinity 2.7, that is, you are not allowed to set permissions directly to the users. The permissions are set by Roles and all users assigned to a given Role inherit the permissions defined for that role.

    What you have to do is create 2 roles:
    • one for the registered users
    • one for the non-registered users.
    Set the appropriate page permissions for the two Roles: allow access to the relevant site parts for the Role containing the registered users and forbid access for the Role containing the non-registered users.
    Also, you need to restrict the anonymous access to the CMS administration. To do this in Sitefinity3/Admin/Web.config, you should set:

    <authorization>
    ...
    <deny roles="Anonymous" users="?" />
    </authorization>

    At this stage there is no e-commerce module developed for Sitefinity 3.0, though we have planned to  implement this functionality in one of the upcoming releases.

    I hope this information will help you. If you come up with more questions, do not hesitate to contact us.
