Please tell me if I'm missing something obvious, but I've added sub-pages to my main menu items, but they don't show in the site's navigation. I've tried my own master pages and the ones that come with sitefinity, but they just show the top level navigation and no sub-pages.

I appologize if this is a lame answer:

Did you set your new pages "Show in Navigation" property to True? By default it is false.

    Good luck.

    Ben,

Yes, I should have stated that I did. You know, I just added a new page and it’s appearing in the menu. Strange. Of course it keeps giving me 404 errors (I have to refresh the browser to see / edit the new page after its been added), but it works on a new page now for some reason. I can probably move the content.

One more question is it possible to create a link to another URL in the menu system? I've worked with other CMS's that allow a URL to be inserted instead of a page.

If you will let me give one more lame answer.

I got was getting the 404s until I set a default page on my virtual directory.

    Good luck.

    Sincerely,

    Ben

    Hi,

The master page navigation displays only published pages. Perhaps the reason you cannot see the newly created page in the navigation is that it is not published.

Unfortunately, we cannot reproduce the issue with a 404 error.

As for the last question about external links in the navigation, we will add the ability to create such links till the official release of Sitefinity 3.0.

    All the best,
    Vlad
