    Hi,

I have various domains, such as http://trakkware.com & http://contenttrakker.com & http://gifttrakker.com & http://eventtrakker.com etc.  My template currently links to a different domain based on where the user clicks.  So if they click on EventTrakker, they go to http://eventtrakker.com but from there they still have links to the other domains.  The look and feel is the same across all the sites, but they act sort like a link farm.

Is there any way to handle this in Sitefinity?  They could all be one website, and on one IP and I could setup Aliases for the site, or have a fixed IP, so * would come up, but still get the advantage of multiple domains linking to each other.

My only other option is to change my structure and have my sites as http://trakkware.com & /products/eventtrakker/index.aspx & /products/gifttrakker/index.aspx etc., but I think I'd lose page rank on google if I did that.

    Any suggestions?

    Ben

    Hello Ben,

We don't see any problem in using Sitefinity site with multiple domains.

    Hi Vlad,

Thanks for your response.  I don't think I explained myself correctly or something.  I mean having ONE install of Sitefinity running on a fixed IP and having all my pages listed under it, but have each product also have it's own domain.  So instead of running it all on trakkware.com/<pages>, I'd be able to run it on trakkware.com/<trakkware_info> and gifttrakker.com/<gifttrakker_info> and eventtrakker.com/<eventtrakker_info>, etc.

Does that make any sense?  I know I can have 8 installs of Sitefinity, but they all cross link so much and there are only a few pages on each domain, and when i add a new page I'll have to add it 8 times, etc., so I was hoping there was a way to handle it with one install.

    Any chance?

    Ben

    Hi Ben,

Thanks for the elaboration. I think I understand your request better now.
So this could be realized with an external link, the feature will be added in the release candidate for sure or hopefully in the update till the end of this week. You will be able to set an absolute URL for a page (i.e. http://eventtrakker.com). Is this solution appropriate for the case?

FYI: Since you mentioned about 8 Sitefinity sites with the same content, I want to specify that you could use a single database for all sites and if you add a new page to one of the sites it will appear in the others.
