When adding a new document, choosing "More actions" > Publish/Unpublish on Specific Date and entering a date either in the past or in the future has no effect. Clicking Publish and then viewing that document again the Publish date is always todays date and time.

Hello Spero,

Please check what is the publication date displayed at the right side of the Edit Document properties?(See attached image Edit-document-properties.JPG) If the publication date displayed here is correct or not.

The Date showing in the Library Documents list is the LastModified value (Ref. Document-List-in-the-Library.JPG and Document-List-in-the-Library-LastModified-Settings.JPG for settings) which can be changed to PublicationDate from the advanced settings.

To change this go to Sitefinity Backend -> Administration->Settings->Advanced->ContentView->Controls->DocumentsBackend->Views->DocumentsBackendList-> View Modes ->Grid-> Columns ->Date

In the list of the properties on the right-hand side of the screen change the ClientTemplate property value from:

(LastModified) ? LastModified.sitefinityLocaleFormat('dd MMM, yyyy hh:mm') : '-'

To:

(PublicationDate) ? PublicationDate.sitefinityLocaleFormat('dd MMM, yyyy hh:mm') : '-'
