    1. When creating a dropdown menu, the parent page can no longer be accessed from the navigation menu.
    2. Menu skin created from Style Builder works with Horizontal with drop down menus navigation type but not with Horizontal (without dropdowns)

    Therefore, if anyone has to build a menu where the parent menu items link to pages:
    1. You can not use it with Horizontal with drop downs menu.
    2. The only option is to use the Horizontal (without dropdowns), but than we can't skin it.

    Hi David,

    The navigation control behind the "Horizontal with drop down" is RadMenu and the one behind the Horizontal is RadTabStrip - probably this is the reason for you styling problems - you should use different skins.

    Also you can navigate to the parent page when using "Horizontal with drop downs" only when the "On mouse over" option is selected.

    @telerik

    I wondered many times why you don't use the RadMenu for both szenarios.
    So instead of using the RadTabStrip use RadMenu and show only top most items.

    Like this you would have to style only one RadControls instead of two and would give the client a greater flexibility.

    PS: Is the PanelBar and VerticalMenu with flyout still missing in SP1?

    Hi,

    Actually the different controls have different outputed markup and respectively different things can be achieved with them - it is up to you to decide which one to choose. I think this is more flexible approach.

    About the vertical navigation - for now you can use the included RadControls and bind it manually.

    Kind regards,
