    Hi,

In the documents module I get a dialog box with "OK" saying "The page at www.domain.com.au says: Return code: 0".

    To produce this error:

Go to the documents module, load a library and edit an existing document. Add a tag to the document and hit publish. You will get the above dialog box when returning to the library page and once you click ok the "loading" indicator just runs continuously on the page and the library never loads its documents again until you refresh the page.

Do we get any points for these bugs LOL

    Cheers,

    Seth

    Hello Webinsite,

I checked adding custom and existing tags to a document, but I was not able to replicate the issue with Sitefinity 4.0 RC (4.0.962.0). If you use an older version, please upgrade to build 4.0.962.0. You can also try to log out and then login again which will recreate your login cookie. This issue could appear if somehow your session expires.

You will get points for each bug you report to us.

    Hi There,

I just wanted to say that I see this bug quite often as well but I haven't posted it yet as I'm not able to reproduce it reliably. One thing is for certain is that it is there and appears relatively regularly. Sometimes after working with templates, sometimes after working with pages. It usually occurs when I save or cancel and go back to the previous area (i.e. back to templates).

I'm not sure about Seth, but the error is displayed in as a Javascript Alert if that helps.

    Regards,
    Phill

    Hi Phill,

There was a bug in our code that fixed internally. It will not appear in today's build. Most probably next Friday. The issue you reported looks similar, so I hope that upgrading to one of the next internal builds will fix it.

    Kind regards,
    Ivan Dimitrov

I am having a similar issue when creating pages.  I create a page and attempt to "Publish" it and receive the alert "Return code: 0" and nothing gets published.  Any clues to this one?  The files came from the Project Manager 4.0.1030.0 which I am assuming is the latest version of the 4 release.

Please advise as we are at a stand still until this is resolved.

    Hi Webinsite,

Can you see if the page is fully loaded before you try to publish it? We have not been able to reproduce the issue locally if the page is fully loaded. If however we try to perform an action while the page is still loading this exception is thrown.

I can consistently reproduce this error using RC2 4.0.1030.0

    1. View my list of pages.
    2. Click on a page title to edit it the page.
    3. Click "Title & Properties" and change the title.
    4. Click "Save Changes"

As soon as I click on save changes I get the javascript error. I tested with 10 different pages on my site, happens with all of them.

The bug is still around somewhere...

Edit: Tested this again and for me this is a Chrome/Webkit bug as performing the same steps in FF 3/4 didn't produce the error. I've got the IE9 beta installed and gave it a try there, no error but admin performance using IE9 is slow slow between each action it's currently not usable, this was a really disappointing discovery!

    Phill

    Hi Webinsite,

We are currently recommending for best experience to use latest official(non beta) version of IE and FF.

Using version 4.1, I was able to create pages initially. But after I deleted two pages I created, I now get "Return code:0" every time when I try to create a new page. I tried using different browsers. Please help.

Having the same problem but with 4.0 SP1.

Initially it worked fine. Then I upgraded to 4.1 and found that CustomErrors redirect that worked in 4.0 does not work now, and since it was important for the client to have this redirect working I restored database and files from backup, hence reverted to 4.0.

Now I cannot create pages. After tracking with Firebug I see that PUT request is aborted for some reason when I try to create a page:
    PUT 00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000?itemType=Telerik.Sitefinity.Pages.Model.PageNode&providerName=&managerType=Telerik.Sitefinity.Modules.Pages.PageManager&provider=&workflowOperation=
    http://lesi.dev.vtcus.com/Sitefinity/Services/Pages/PagesService.svc/00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000/?itemType=Telerik.Sitefinity.Pages.Model.PageNode&providerName=&managerType=Telerik.Sitefinity.Modules.Pages.PageManager&provider=&workflowOperation=
    Aborted

And I have different error codes depending on browser: 12031 in IE, 0 in Firefox.

Did anybody find real solution for this issue?

    Appreciate any help.

Can you replicate this issue when running the project through our Project Manager or Visual Studio?

    Hi Ivan,

    Yes.
When I start the site from Project Manager under integrated server, it does NOT allow me to create pages either.
The only difference is return code, it is 12152 now.
So, I assume the problem is NOT in IIS configuration.

Is there anything I may need to change in web.config?

    Thanks.

I'm getting  the same error and I was using the trial edition on their site. I noticed when I took out all of the "keywords" in the keywords section it was working but when they are in there, it gives a "Return Code: 0" error

    Hello,

Return code 0 does not provide information about the actual error. Please enable service tracer as suggested so we could see what might be the problem.

    Hello Jeremy,

Return code 0 is a general error and this issue is about Sitefinity 4.0 and since then Sitefinity has greatly evolved, so most likely this is caused by something else.

Can you provide some steps to reproduce, the stack trace in your error.log file and also share with us if there are errors in your browser console in order to give you a valid answer.

    Kind regards,
