Am I right in thinking that taxonomies are now gone for Generic Content?

I'm going to have to redo a huge section of my site due to that, if so.

    Hello William,

Generic Content module is obsolete and taxonomies are removed from insert/edit dialogs by default. But you could use Configurations to add them if you want:
    1. Go to Content > Content blocks > Settings (the link in the sidebar)
    2. Find Controls > ContentBackend > Views > ContentBackendInsert / ContentBackendEdit > Sections > MainSection > Fields. ContentBackendInsert is the name of the view used to insert content items, while ContentBackendEdit is the view for editing.
    3. Create a new HierarchicalTaxonFieldDefinitionElement / FlatTaxonFieldDefinitionElement element. For more details how to set the properties of HierarchicalTaxonFieldDefinitionElement / FlatTaxonFieldDefinitionElement, please refer to News settings (Controls > NewsBackend > Views > NewsBackendInsert / NewsBackendEdit > Sections > TaxonSection > Fields > Category / Tags)

Let us know if you need any further assistance.

    Pepi,

That's really good information to know.  I've had to go another route for my solution and redo some coding, but I'll keep that in mind in the future.

    Thanks
