    Hello Giorgos,

    The url format depends and can be controlled from the provider's urlRewriteFormat declared in your web.config file

    <add name="Blogs" urlRewriteFormat="[Publication_Date]/[Title].aspx" urlDateTimeFormat="yy-MM-dd" urlWhitespaceChar="_" visible="False" defaultMetaField="Title" applicationName="/Blogs" allowVersioning="True" allowComments="true" commentsModeration="false" allowLocalization="False" localizationProviderName="" allowWorkflow="True" securityProviderName="" versioningProviderName="" connectionStringName="GenericContentConnection" type="Telerik.Blogs.Data.DefaultBlogProvider, Telerik.Blogs.Data" />

    Ivan,

    If configure my blog URL's in the web.config and say for example,. the url of blog post is something like http://mysite.com/blog/new-cure-found-11-05-2010.aspx

    Using the blog API, how can i retrieve that post from DB using that URL info (as IContent) ?

    Many thanks

    Hello Imran,

    Unfortunately we do not have a method for getting content items by their Urls. What you can do in this case is to get all blog posts and then iterate through them matching their UrlWithExtension property to the one you need.

    Hi Imran,

    The method with the built in controls is more complex. First when you click on a link to open the item in details mode we use a service which rewrites the url to a one using the content item ID (however this is not seen in the URL bar of your browser) then from the rewritten url we resolve the item.

    Sincerely yours,
