I have a page with a generic content section.  Within that section the first thing included is a heading (ie. <h1> tag) followed by some paragraphs, then a table containing text.

When I try to apply a style using the drop down list to any paragraph, the style gets applied to the heading, not the paragraph that has cursor focus.

    Update!

If I choose Heading 1, 2 or 3 styles it works properly.  If I scroll using the mouse wheel to choose the style it works properly.  If I scroll using the scroll bar it doesn't work.

    Hi Coffee,

We need to know the exact version of the RadEditor in order to reproduce this. Please tell us which is the version of Sitefinity the web site is generated with.
You can easily verify this by checking the version of the Telerik.Cms.dll in the project bin folder.
Alternatively, you can view one of the web site pages. In the HTML source, please check the content attribute of meta tag with name Generator. For example:
    <meta name="Generator" content="Sitefinity 3.2.1500.2:0" />

Thank you for your cooperation in advance.

    All the best,
    Rebecca

    Hello Coffee,

We were not able to reproduce this. Similar things could happen when pasting text from an external rich text editor. The pasted content may not be the proper HTML or it may have wrong styles.
Could you please switch to HTML mode and check whether there is invalid HTML. Try to remove that and let us know about the results.

Also, you could send us the content that you are trying to edit/format, so we can test it.
Thanks for your cooperation in advance.

    Greetings,
    Rebecca

    Rebecca,

I created a new page to test whether it's bad HTML or not.  The page is using the Default template.  I inserted a Generic Content section and this HTML content:

    <h1>Test Page Heading</h1>
    <p>First paragraph.</p>
    <p>Second paragraph.</p>
    <p></p>

    Here's what I do next:

    1) I have my cursor in the second paragraph.
    2) Click on the Style drop down.
    3) Click and drag the style scroll bar down until you see the Address style.
    4) Click on the Address style.

Here's what Sitefinity does to the HTML:

    <address>Test Page Heading</address>
    <p>First paragraph.</p>
    <p>Second paragraph.</p>
    <p></p>

Instead of applying the style to the second paragraph, it applies it to the heading.

Rebecca, some further info for you.  I tried the above on your 3.1 demo site and couldn't reproduce the problem.

    Hi Coffee,

Thanks for providing these details. We managed to reproduce this with the Generic Content control in section Pages, when scrolling to Address using the scrollbar only, just as you pointed out.

However, we cannot reproduce this with any of the editors in section Modules, which makes us think it has something to do with RadEditor when loaded in RadWindow.
We logged this as a bug and our RadEditor team are notified.

Your Telerik account has been updated for reporting this.

    All the best,
    Rebecca
