    When I drop two BlogPosts controls in the editor mode on the same page, i get an error message:

    Multiple controls with the same ID 'link' were found. FindControl requires that controls have unique IDs.

    I did this by simply opening a page in the editor, taking two BlogPosts controls and dropping them in a content region, one above the other.  At this point, I didn't touch ANY of the properties and settings in either of the controls, and that's enough to cause the error.  However, while still in editor, the content rendered by the two controls appears to be ok.  But when I click the PREVIEW button to actually see the fully rendered page, I get the error.

    I'm doing this because I would like to display content from two separate blogs, and I would like them to be in their own respective BlogPosts "areas."  I would think that this is possible, but maybe it isn't?

    Any thoughts?

    I'm on Sitefinity Standard 3.7 SP3.

    Hello Marko,

    Could you please try to change the Id of the control manually, right after you drag and drop it in the content place holder? This could be done from the Advanced tab.

    Still an error.  I renamed both controls, just in case, and I get the same result.  You're talking about the "ID" property located under "MISC" grouping section, on the ADVANCED tab, correct?  These are literally the steps I'm using:

    1. Drop BlogPosts control onto the page.
    2. Open BlogPosts properties, not touching anything except for the ID property under Advanced tab (Misc) section.  Renaming it to BlogPosts11.
    3. Drop another BlogPosts.
    4. Rename ID to BlogPosts22.
    5. Preview the page (or view published version).  Error.

    Hello Marko,

    Could you please try to Publish the page? I suspect that the preview is still showing the previous version published version of the page.

    Let me know if this fixes the problem.

    As I said in my previous post, previewing OR publishing the page both result in the same error.

    In the meantime, I've identified that the problem is related to a custom user control which uses RadAjaxPanel.  Removing or commenting out the RadAjaxPanel stuff (and leaving the stuff inside) makes the problem go away.  But that's merely a workaround, and I lose the ajax functionality that I need.  Here's what that user control looks like:

    <telerik:RadAjaxPanel  ID="radAjxPanel_RotatingImgs" runat="server" HorizontalAlign="NotSet">
            <asp:Panel ID="panelRotatingImage" runat="server">
                <asp:ImageButton ID="linkNextImage" runat="server" CausesValidation="false" ToolTip="View Next Image" CssClass="cycleImages" ImageUrl="~/Images/nextImageArrow.gif" onclick="linkNextImage_Click"  />
            </asp:Panel>
        </telerik:RadAjaxPanel>

    This control is used in a page template, which is then used by the page that has two BlogPosts controls.  What's weird is that this does NOT cause a problem when there is one BlogPosts control dropped on the page--only when there are two or more.  Any ideas what might be causing that?

    In case somebody else encounters the same problem...  The issue is with RadAjaxPanel.  My page template has a simple user control which uses RadAjaxPanel.  Then in the actual page which uses that template, I was dropping two BlogPosts controls in a content region, and ending up with an error.  Removing or replacing RadAjaxPanel with UpdatePanel solved the issue for me.

    This has been recorded as a bug with RadAjaxPanel by the Telerik support team (thanks for all the help!), to be looked into further.
