    We're using a Trial Sitefinity v3.2 for couple of weeks, all our users within a website have suddenly started getting the problem that if you edit any page, you see the editing interface, but clicking on Publish or Cancel changes brings back the same page.

    Please tell us what's causing this and how to fix it.

    Thanks in anticipation

    Hello Zubair,

    Please, check if you have set PostBackUrl property for some of the server controls. Setting this property breaks Sitefinity edit page mode.

    For the time being, the workaround is to post the information from the current page to a target page in the handler of the Button OnClick event. For example:

    .master
    <asp:Button ID="Button1" runat="server" Text="Click" OnClick="Button1_Click" />

    .master.cs
    protected void Button1_Click(object sender, EventArgs e)
        Response.Redirect("~/Default.aspx");

    Do let us know how it goes.

    Greetings,
    Pepi

    weird, yes I put it on a image button and removed to solve this.

    Is there no fix to this problem except making an onclick event handler ?

    Hi Zubair,

    We don't have a different fix for this issue apart from the one we have already suggested.
    If you are using any custom server-side controls or templates where you have this property set, you could think of a way to change their business logic.

    Sincerely yours,
