    Hi,

I have a weird behavior after I switched my default language from "fr" to "en":
    <localization defaultProvider="Sitefinity" persistenceMode="QueryString" defaultCulture="en" cultures="en, fr">

I have deleted all my pages (but kept the templates), and recreated a new Home. However, when I try to visit Default.aspx, I receive the following:

    HTTP/1.1 301 Moved Permanently
    Date: Tue, 04 May 2010 17:03:19 GMT
    Server: Microsoft-IIS/6.0
    X-Powered-By: ASP.NET
    X-AspNet-Version: 2.0.50727
    Location: /Default.aspx?sflang=fr
    Cache-Control: private
    Content-Length: 0

Which sends the user back to the French version (I have a homepage on both versions). Is there somewhere else where the default language is set?

    Thanks a lot !

    Hi Lucas,

Add the following attribute autoSetClientLanguage="false" to the localization node. By default we set the browser language, this will prevent the switch and "en" should be always loaded.

Thanks a lot, that was indeed the issue in this case!

I have however the same problem in the administration: it still defaults to the french version of the site despite the change. Any idea ?

    Hello Lucas,

I am not able to reproduce this issue. You could take a look at the attached video. If you use an older version I suggest that you should upgrade to the latest official release. You could also check the profile preference to see whether you have set some preferred language for the user you use. Check whether you have some custom logic that could switch the language back to the old culture.

    Sincerely yours,
