    Hi there,

I haven't been able to resolve an issue with a community edition 3.5 website. Works fine locally but once deployed it returns the below error (which resolves itself after refresh) on any page that has a Newsletter subscription control. I have tried the resolutions as described by telerik support (delete the dll/and make sure AJAX is installed) but this has not fixed the issue. the only thing I can think of is that the path cannot be found due to the site sitting on a UNC share and not local disk (e.g. I have had issues with sites before when sitting on a UNC share and calling up AppDomain class for path names.

My question - has anyone got a community site 3.5 edition sitting on a unc share and working ok? Any ideas on how I can resolve this?

    Hello Telerik Support,

Chasing up an update to this issue? will this be fixed in a hotfix for version 3.5 SP1? or will it be fixed in the release of version 3.6 which I read is scheduled to be released jan 20th?

    Any feedback appreciated.

    Hi Matthew,

3.5SP1 is already released, but the problem still stands. We are currently working on the dynamic web services and hopefully we will finish with most of the work for the deadline of 3.6.

    Best wishes,

    Hello Support,

Is it possible to get an update on this issue for this version? I would like to start using the Newsletter section of the Sitefinity site but as far as I know this issue was never resolved?

    Hello Matthew,

This issue was resolved for Sitefinity 3.6 so we would recommend you to upgrade your project with the latest Sitefinity version (Sitefinity 3.6 SP2, version - 1936 ). Before upgrading, open the folder ~/Sitefinity/ServiceAssemblies and make sure you delete the assembly there. After the upgrade when you initialize the Newsletters module, it will be recreated automatically (make sure the folder is not read-only).

    Hope this helps.

    Sincerely yours,
    Stoyanka Assenova

    thank you for the info.

Do you have step by step instructions on how to upgrade  to the latest version from my community edition 3.5 version? e.g. is it just a certain assembly to overwrite?
