    I am trying to modify the community template to display the times for events.  So far, no matter what formating string I use, it will only display dates.  Here is a sample

    <class="sf_date"
     Event is scheduled for :<sfCtrl:DateTimeLiteral runat="server" ID="Event_Start" DateFormatString="T"></sfCtrl:DateTimeLiteral><br />
     Published on:<sfCtrl:DateTimeLiteral runat="server" ID="Publication_Date" DateFormatString="D"></sfCtrl:DateTimeLiteral>
    </p>

    Oh, the data in the database contains times.

    Hello Joseph,

    The date/time formats are being set through the control properties. Therefore, the setting you are making directly on the control is being overriden. In order to change the format of the dates, open the page on which EventsView control resides, then click on the Edit link on the EventsView control. When you expand the "Appearance" section you will notice that there is a property named "DatesFormat". Enter any format you desire for that property and click "I'm done". Then, publish the page and you should be all set.

    By setting the value of the date time format on the control itself, you can easily change the format for all dates and times inside of a control, instead of having to do the change for each date.

    Greetings,
