    Hi Sitefinity,
We have version 3.2 and I think i've found a bug on the events module.

I've created an event, and told the eventsiew control to only show "Future Items", but for some reason its still showing events even though they we're set to expire on 11/5/2009.

What would cause this and any ideas how i fix this?

    Thanks
    Anthony

    Hello Anthony Smith,

    Thank you for contacting us.

Could you please check if the version you are running is 3.2.1616 (you can use the following KB article to understand how to check the current version - http://www.sitefinity.com/support/kb/sitefinity-3-x/how-to-check-your-current-sitefinity-version.aspx). If this is the case, then the following fix will help you - http://www.sitefinity.com/support/kb/sitefinity-3-x/settings-applied-to-the-content-view-based-controls-are-reset.aspx.

If you are running another version of 3.2, could you please let us know if there is something written in the QueryStrings->FilterExpression field of the EventsView?

We look forward to your reply.

    All the best,
    Georgi

    hi Georgi
    Thanks for your feedback.

First of all yes it appears to be version 1616., however i took your advice and added the asax code and while its appeared to have a positive effect on the amount of summery content returned per event i.e. its was returning all content - now its just returning the right amount. However the origional issue remains i.e. Its still returning events which should have expired.e.g.

Expiration Date = 05 Nov 2009, 12:00:AM, and todays date = 2009-12-12 however its still getting returned despite seting the view to only show future events.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

    Thanks
    Anthony

    Hi Anthony Smith,

We have tired to reproduce the problem, and also checked the open and resolved bugs for Sitefinity 3.2 SP2 1616, but could not find such issue.

Is your project live? Perhaps we can take a look on it? Could you please let us know if there is something written in the QueryStrings->FilterExpression field of the EventsView?

    Kind regards,
    Georgi

    Hello Anthony Smith,

Perhaps something was set incorrectly in the old one, and having the fact that other settings were resetting sometimes, it's really hard to tell where the problem was. Anyway, I am glad that it's all working now.
