I don't know if you are aware of this issue but we find that some of our client who use sitefinity's document manager complain about Microsoft word documents freezing up. For some documents, it happens upon openining the word document and for others, it happens upon closing the word document. Currently, we are able to recreate these issues for a particular client, unfortunately, the documents are behind a login page. The weird part is that they only freeze if you click on a link to the word document within generic content. But not when you navigate directly to the document with the adddress bar. Saving the document also works fine. Has anyone else experienced this and if so how did they fix it or deal with it. We are able to recreate the issue using IE4, Microsoft Word 2003, Sitefinity 3.1.1473.4:0

    Hi FredW,

I am afraid that IE4 is not support by Sitefinity, neither by our RadControls, to which the Editor belongs. Are you able to reproduce the problem with IE6 or Firefox? I tried this locally, to no avail.

Please refer to our System requirements for Sitefinity and the RadControls for more information:

    Hello FredW,

I tried to recreate the problem but unfortunately I am not able to. Are you able to replicate on any computer? I wonder if this could be a browser and MS office compatibility issue. Perhaprs reinstalling of the Office suite would help.

We can try to recreate the problem on your web site, if you are able to provide us with user name and password of course.

    Kind regards,
    Georgi
