    We are using Sitefinity 3.2 on a client's site. When they try to upload a JPG or JPEG file it gives an error that says "A file of invalid type selected. Please, select another file to upload." GIFs works fine. We have been able to upload JPGs in the past without problem. To my knowledge we haven't made a  change that would break this. Any ideas what might be causing this?

    Thanks,

    Hello J.R. Garcia,

    Check whether jpg and jpeg extenssions are allowed for this type of library. Take a look at the following part of your web.config file

    <libraryInfo>
    <add name="Image" title="Image Library" defaultExtenstions=".png, .jpg, .jpeg, .gif" metaKeys="Author, AlternateText, Extension, Name, Height, Width, Size, Category"></add>

    Kind regards,

    It has GIF, JPEG, JPG and PNG listed for default extensions. Is there anything else that could affect this?

    Ivan,

    Our client is pretty upset about not being able to add the images. Are there any other suggestions on places to look?

    Thanks,
    J.R. Garcia

    Hello J.R. Garcia,

    Could you send the exact image that you cannot upload. I am not able to reproduce the problem you have.

    All the best,
