    I created a Custom Generic module for my Sitefinity 3.7 from the sample given in link http://www.sitefinity.com/blogs/ivan/posts/09-03-11/sample_generic_content_based_module_products_module.aspx
    It works amazing but the issue I am encountering is how to define User Control in the "ProductNewView.ascx, ProductEditView.aspx" which does a lot of calculations.

    Previously, while creating Custom Generic module in Sitefinity 3.2 I use to define User Control in the "ControlPanelEdit.ascx, ControlPanelInsert.ascx" pages as

    <%@ Register TagPrefix="uc1" TagName="links" Src="CONTROLNAME.ascx" %>

     for all my caculations and then use them with TagPrefix and TagName as
     <uc1:links ID="......." runat="server" />
    in the Code where the ID is same as one of the Metafield.
    Now my question is how can I do the same in in  Custom Generic module for my Sitefinity 3.7.

    Please reply soon,

    Nimit Verma.

    Hello Nimit,

    In your custom module you should be able to do the same in the view template. For the built in modules you need to map the external template and then modify it.
