    Hi Nimit,

Could you check whether “MailingWebService.asmx" exsists under  ~/Sitefinity/Admin/Services/ folder. Make sure that ASP account has full permissions over it. Also during upgrades did you delete the assemble under ~/Sitefinity/ServiceAssemblies/ folder? When initialize the newsletter module this assemble should be automatically generated.

    Hi Ivan,
Thank you for the quick response I appreciate that.
I did delete the dll from ~/Sitefinity/ServiceAssemblies/  folder and as I am running on my local machine I gave ~/Sitefinity/Admin/Services folder full rights to NETWORK SERVICE. One thing more as this is a intranet website all the users are from Active directory.
after this I tested it still gave the same error:-->

    Hi Nimit,

Can you please check if a new assembly has been generated in the same directory - ~/Sitefinity/ServiceAssemblies/ ? If not, we will send you a new assembly for the version you are using. If yes, please try to move the generated dll in your project's bin directory.

Let us know about the progress.

    Hi Nimit,

The assembly generation could happen in FULL trust only with the necessary file IO permissions of the Asp.Net account.

Attached is an assembly for your version. Please make sure that you place it in the Service Assemblies directory, and it is accessible by Asp.Net service account.

    All the best,
    Georgi

    Hi Georgi,
    Thanks for the reply.
I just need to ask you one thing. that  i gave full access to the NETWORK SERVICE account to the Service Assemblies directory . Is that enough.

    Regards,
    Nimit verma.

    Hi Nimit,

Yes, this should be enough for the file creation itself.

When you upgrade your project though, you should be working in full trust. Otherwise, even that you have permissions for file creation, the assembly will not be generated (medium trust restrictions).

    Kind regards,
    Georgi

    Hi Georgi,
Thank you for all your help. The Newsletter issue is still not resolved.
Ok I will tell accutally what I am doing.

My application is a INTRANET application all the users are coming form active directory.
When I use the web.config file without active directory it works fine it goes to the Newsletter module and creats the dll file in Service assemblies directory, but if I use the web.config with Active directory functionality. it give me an error while accessing newsletter.

So there is Active Directory in <connectionStrings>, <membership>,

    <

    roleManager>

    <

    security defaultProvider="DefaultSecurityProvider" cmsProvidersName="Sitefinity">

    <

    roles>

    <

    clear/>

    <

    add name="Domain Admins" permission="Unrestricted"/>

    <

    add name="Domain Users" permission="Unrestricted"/>

    <

    add name="Administrators" permission="Unrestricted"/>

    <

    add name="PublicUsers" permission="None" />

    </

    roles>

It use to work in 3.2. I upgraded to 3.7 and now it's giving errors.
I don't know what is missing.
    Please reply ASAP.

    With Regards,
    Nimit Verma.

    Hi Nimit,

What kind of Authentication you use for your ActiveDirectory - Windows, Forms, Custom? If you use Forms Authentication, do you use  the name of the cookie to store the forms-authentication ticket? There could be a problem if the current request authentication cookie is not correct.

    Sincerely yours,

    Hello Nimit,

I am sending you a custom build for 3.7 SP1, which I hope will fix the problem.
You should unzip the attached file and copy the files into the the bin folder of your Sitefinity project replacing the old assemblies.
Please let us know how it goes.

    Kind regards,
    Vlad
