    I've recently been picking up jQuery, and so far everything was working fine until I started using dropShadow. apparently there is a conflict between using this plugin and the lightbox plugin used by sitefinity... I kept getting the error

    element.style has no properties
    element.style.width = w +"px";

    using the solution found here:

    http://www.dynamicdrive.com/forums/showthread.php?t=29668

    I was able to workaround it, but is there anyway the lightbox can be configured so that this is not necessary?

    thanks!

    Hello SelArom,

    Thank you for bringing this.
    We should play with it for a while in order to provide you with the best answer. The truth is - we are not sure and will have to try it first. I have scheduled a task for this. I hope this is not very urgent as there is the workaround. Perhaps someone from the community could share his opinion? We will come back to this thread once we are ready with the answer.

    I hope this is acceptable.

    Kind regards,

    well it worked until I had the need to put a gallery inside the template that uses jquery. I honestly don't remember what I did to fix it but I'm thinking that I just removed the jquery references because the template that the gallery was on didn't need it...

    now I'm needing to add a gallery to a page using the template that DOES require jquery... and I'm getting that conflict again. Please consider adjusting a higher priority for this. I tried setting it to gallery->image on a separate page but that doesn't work because the images are large and break the template so they need to load in light box.

    has anyone else had to deal with this problem?

    alright! well I figured out a solution. All I had to do was download and install the new version of lightbox, and replace all the references to it on the GalleryLightBoxListTemplate so they point to the new js files instead of the old ones. works a treat take a look (the rotating banner up top uses jquery):

    Hello SelArom,

    Thank you for the follow up!
    It is nice to hear this solved the problem. Perhaps we should update the lightbox too.

    All the best,

    actually after installing some other jquery plugins the lightbox library template is failing again...

    *please* consider when updating this to use the jQuery version of lightbox (instead of scriptalicious) because it's breaking stuff all over the place :(

    Same issues here.  jQuery.noConflict does not seem to resolve the matter as it would in a normal situation.  Somehow, we need to bind the prototype actions to a on page ready event, although I am not certain that is the issue yet.
