    Hello

    I implemented a version of lightbox with Sitefinity. It works well in IE and FF, and works also in all browser when tested seperately. However in context the js won't work in Safari and Opera. Here's an example, just click on an image to the right.
    Probably the script somehow collides with the existing ones of Asp.NET/Sitefinity.

    I got a little overstrained with debugging such a mass of javascript, that's why I ask for help here. Any help would be gladly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance
    Roman

    Hi Roman,

    Thank you for using our services.

    Are you using the built in Lightbox js library or using another type of lightbox library? I have tested the default one and the images are loaded in lightbox. I have taken a look a the js loaded on your page and saw that you have this one: Lightbox Slideshow. I took a look at this plugin's home page and there the sample images did not work in opera.

    Hello Radoslav

    Thanks for your answer.
    I tested the sample before in all browsers, latest release, and it worked. I tasted it again and it still worked. Would you tell me with which version of Opera and on which operating system you tested it?
    Probably you didn't wait long enough, one has to wait until the page is loaded, then the slideshow works.

    Since it worked for me I hoped to be able to simply add it instead of the supported one by Sitefinity. What would also do for me is a working alternative where you can start again (with image 1) after you reach the last image in the image gallery.

    Kind regards
    Roman

    Hello Roman,

    Thank you for getting back to me.

    I have tested this lighbox gallery using a jQuery plug in and it is working great in Opera and Safari on my Sitefinity website. It also covers your requirements for slides how.

    Hello Radoslav,

    Thank you for your recommendation, I guess that will do.
    A pity that this one isn't integrated instead of the current one :)

    Thanks again
    Kind regards

    Hi Roman,

    The one I pointed you to is released long after we have started using the Lighbox library. I have a sample ready and running attached to the ticket. You might need to fix the paths for the images of navigation buttons in the control template I am sending:
    <script type="text/javascript">
        $(function() {
            var settings = {
            imageLoading: '/Sitefinity/ExternalLibraries/NFLightBox/images/loading.gif',
            imageBtnPrev: '/Sitefinity/ExternalLibraries/NFLightBox/images/prev.png',
            imageBtnNext: '/Sitefinity/ExternalLibraries/NFLightBox/images/next.png',
            imageBtnClose: '/Sitefinity/ExternalLibraries/NFLightBox/images/close.png',
            imageBlank: '/Sitefinity/ExternalLibraries/NFLightBox/images/blank.gif',
            imageBtnBottomPrev: '/Sitefinity/ExternalLibraries/NFLightBox/images/btm_prev.gif',
            imageBtnBottomNext: '/Sitefinity/ExternalLibraries/NFLightBox/images/btm_next.gif',
            imageBtnPlay: '/Sitefinity/ExternalLibraries/NFLightBox/images/start.png',
            imageBtnStop: '/Sitefinity/ExternalLibraries/NFLightBox/images/pause.png'
            };
            $('#gallery a').lightBox(settings);
        });
    </script>
