    Hi-ho,

    Minor problem in the admin screen for the news module.

    Publication date and Expiration Date for News Items is showing up as "NaN Nan, NaN:NaN pm"

    On Standard edition demo of SF 3.7 SP1, was upgraded from 3.6.  This happens with news items created in 3.6 and new ones created since the update to 3.7SP1

    This is in the summary list view, the edit view and the 'View' when clicking on the title are fine.

    Cheers, Chris H.

    Hello Chris,

    Do you have localization enabled for the upgraded website. We have similar problem with 3.6 versions when localization is enabled and the website uses specific cultures.

    All the best,

    Hi Ivan,

    No, localisation is turned off, although we will be enabling it down the track, for the moment I've got lots of other problems. :-)

    Cheers, Chris H.

    Hello Chris,

    Can you please try the following:

    You should use the following external template - NewsItemsList.ascx . Open the NewsItemsList.ascxfile and change:

    if (date && !isNaN(date)) {
    html = date._toFormattedString('dd MMM yyyy, hh:mm tt', Sys.CultureInfo.CurrentCulture);

    You can find NewsItemsList.ascx file in the Sitefinity/Admin/ControlTemplates/News folder.

    Hope this helps.

    Regards,
    Georgi

    Thanks for that...

    I can't find that file under \program files\telerik at all.  Should I create it in the news folder?

    Cheers, Chris H.

    Hello Chris,

    You should map the external template as suggested by Georgi. Let us know if there is anything else that we can do for you.

    Kind regards,

    Thanks for that, they all appear OK now..

    The incorrect result did persist in the cache somewhere for quite a while though, even though I did a CTRL-F5 refresh..

    What's the best way to fully flush the cache on SF?

    Actually, it appears the internal build you posted to the other thread fixed it...  Removing the code above does not cause the fault to re-appear. :-).

    Thanks.

    Hello Chris,

    It is good to hear that everything is working fine. Just to let you know, the modifications inside ControlsConfig file does not take effect until the application is restarted.

    Best wishes,
