    Hi,
I am using sitefinity 3.7 SP3 version and oracle 10g as database.
I have added almost 500 news in my news module. but those news are not getting sorted properly.
In sitefinity- News admin module when I click on publication date to sort news by the same, those are not getting sorted properly.
Even in my website in news view control I can't see news items sorted properly. Some news which should be displayed on 1st page are displayed on 2nd page in between and even when i change my news item count for page, items on 1st page varies. I have given "Publication_Date Desc" for sort expression. What can be the issue ???

    Hi shraddha,

Thank you for using our services.

This looks like an issue with our data provider for oracle. I have set up tests with Oracle 10g XE (Express Edition) however I was not able to reproduce this. We are in the process of setting up a full version of 10g and testing. We will keep you updated on the results.

    Hi,

I'm facing similar issues with Oracle. I've created a dummy site with Oracle 10g as the backend database. In that website I've a News page which has a NiewsView control, sorted by Publication date. But the sorting is not happening properly. The news items are sorted and displayed randomly across pages. I mean, I see some news items on page 1 in the news view. When I click on the page 2 link, some news are repeated from page 1 and some news are entirely omitted.

Any known issues with Oracle data access provider ? I'm using Sitefinity 3.7 Standard Edition SP3

    Thanks,
    Saumitra

    Hello all,

Thank you for joining the conversation.

We are in the process of performing tests with oracle to see where is the problem with the oracle data provider. I will keep you updated on our findings.
