    Hi All,

I have a page Support only allow Role A and administrator to view it. When it was 3.1 standard version , the page was hidden from the menu or sitepanel, if the user did not have  role A permission. Now my site is updated to 3.2, the link is showing on the menu or panel bar for users without role A permission, but getting access deny error when clicking on it. How can I make the link not sure on the menu, just like the older version?

    Thanks,

    May

    Hi May,

Thank you very much for bringing this to our attention. This is indeed a bug and I already added it in our Bug Tracking System. We will search for the best approach for fixing it, and will provide you with a workaround as soon as we find one.

As a mark of gratitude we updated your Telerik points.

    Best wishes,

It's a kind odd that the security is working OK if the page was added before the site was updated to 3.2. Any newly added page with security role requirement is not working right, it shows on the menu and giving you the '
Oops... you have no permissions to access this page! ' message. I thought it must be wrong in the sitefinity database, the only table not working like old way is :

    sf_CmsPageProps

it didn't set the menu, title, etc. and set the DenyAnonymous wrong.

    Thanks,

    May

    Hi May,

We still haven't found the best approach for fixing this issue, but we can tell for sure that it is not connected with the sf_CmsPagePops table. We have already scheduled this bug fix for the next release so that the solution should become part of it.
As for the restriction error message you are getting - it is not relevant in this situation as it is related to violating the Global project permissions which are set in the projects administration.

    All the best,
