    Check out this screenshot:

    As you can see there are multiples of the same projects. If I delete one of the instances, all of them are deleted as well. My question is: where is this information stored so I can manually remove them? Also, what could cause this to happen? I suppose it is because I have deleted/remade projects with the same name due to problems and just familiarizing myself with the setup process.

    Thanks guys!

    Hello andersleet,

    This happens when you install a new version of Sitefinity or re-install the existing one, without uninstalling the one that you currently have. The project manager reads the websites that you have in your Websites directory and adds a records for everyone of them. Unfortunately there is a bug there, we do not check if the site records already exist in the config file.

    You can manually edit the list by editing the xml file located at <Program Files>\telerik\Sitefinity3.6\ProjectManager\App_Data\Projects.xml

    We apologize for the confusion.

    Best wishes,
    Georgi

    Hmm, it doesn't seem to be updating. I have tried restarting my web server but all duplicates are still present. This is what my Projects.xml looks like:

    <projects>
      <project Name="TIUSite_v3.6_SP2" Href="/telerik/TIUSite_v3.6_SP2" Path="C:\Program Files\telerik\Sitefinity3.6 Community\WebSites\TIUSite_v3.6_SP2" Creator="Sitefinity team" Version="3.6.1936.2" />
      <project Name="Themed" Href="/Themed" Path="C:\Program Files\telerik\Sitefinity3.6 Community\WebSites\Themed" Creator="GENIUSDOMAIN\darren" Version="3.6.1936.2" />
      <project Name="Test" Href="/Test" Path="C:\Program Files\telerik\Sitefinity3.6 Community\WebSites\Test" Creator="GENIUSDOMAIN\darren" Version="3.6.1936.2" />
      <project Name="sf_GSOW" Href="/sf_GSOW" Path="C:\Program Files\telerik\Sitefinity3.6 Community\WebSites\sf_GSOW" Creator="GENIUSDOMAIN\darren" Version="3.6.1936.2" />
      <project Name="AndersLeet" Href="/AndersLeet" Path="C:\Program Files\telerik\Sitefinity3.6 Community\WebSites\AndersLeet" Creator="GENIUSDOMAIN\darren" Version="3.6.1936.2" />
    </projects>

    Is there something else that I need to do? Thanks!

    OK, so this gets stranger:

    I went to folder that contains Projects.xml, selected the file then copy/pasted it directly into the directory. Then I opened up the copy and much to my surprise and shock, there were duplicate entries! Not believing what I just saw, I opened up the original file...no duplicates were there! So somehow, somewhere, the original xml was still there even though it really wasn't (confusing...it confuses me too). So after editing the copy of the original Projects.xml to remove the duplicate entries, I renamed it to Projects.xml and viola! No more duplicates.

    I am still baffled at what just happened here, but I figured I would share this information with everyone.

    Cheers,
    anders

    Hello andersleet,

    I am glad you have managed to get it working as expected. Unfortunately I could not tell you what was wrong, perhaps there has been a confusion related to the many configuration files :)

    Best wishes,
