Guys - i am really enjoying developing with Sitefinity.  The problem is the security.  My project is for a company intranet for about 400 users.  I would like to tie into Active Directory and just let their Windows credentials act as their security.  Here are the steps I have done already:

1 - Add a new provider in the roleManager section
2 - Add a new provider in the membership section
3 - Add an item to the roles section with the group name from AD and the permission "Unrestricted"

At this point should I be able to log in with any username/password for any user in the group listed in the web.config?  The site does not let me in using the domain credentials, but I can still log in using the original admin username and password created at installation.

Sorry if this is elementary.  Any help is appreciated.  Thanks!

    Hi Josh,

Can you please provide us with your web.config file? I think there something wrong in the configuration. We will fix it and return it to you.

You can open a new support ticket if you want to send it in a private thread. Let us know if this is not an option so we could take further actions.

    Best wishes,
    Georgi
