    I think there's a bug with the ArchiveView control in SF 3.5.  I only checked the News version of the control, but presumably the same control is used in the other GC content types.

    The SelectedItemCssClass attribute does not seem to be set in the emitted HTML.

    If you view the source of the rendered page, when a Month is selected, you'll see:

    <ul class="rtUL">
        <li class="rtLI rtLast">
            <div class="rtBot rtSelected">
                <span class="rtSp"/>
                <a class="rtIn" href="News.aspx?Year=2008&amp;Month=12">December 2008 (1)</a>
            </div>
        </li>
    </ul>

    But the SelectedItemCssClass property is set to "selectedItem".

    Also, when you select a Year, nothing shows up with a selected class, making it impossible to highlight the selected year.  For example, 2008 should be selected:

    <li class="rtLI rtLast">
        <div class="rtBot">
            <span class="rtSp"/>
            <span class="rtMinus"/>
            <a class="rtIn" href="News.aspx?Year=2008">2008 (1)</a>
        </div>
        <ul class="rtUL">
            <li class="rtLI rtLast">
                <div class="rtBot">
                    <span class="rtSp"/>
                    <a class="rtIn" href="News.aspx?Year=2008&amp;Month=12">December 2008 (1)</a>
                </div>
            </li>
        </ul>
    </li>

    Is there a workaround?

    Thanks,
    Mike Sharp

    I should mention that for a brief moment, the year shows up as selected, but then something overwrites and the selection is lost.

    Hello Mike,

    I have managed to reproduce the problem and have logged it in our bug tracking system. Unfortunately there is no simple workaround - the only one that springs to mind is to implement your own Archive control and use it instead of the built-in control.

    We will try to get this bug fixed as soon as possible.

    I am sorry that I was not able to help you more at this moment.

    All the best,
    Ivan
