I have a client who has recently upgraded their Sitefinity. Since doing so on their Forum pages for Single Threads only new threads appear and the pre-upgrade threads have disappeared. How can I get the old threads to show as well?

    Hi Michelle Newton,

We replied to your bug report. We have not made any changes to Forums module API or database tables structure since version 3.5. Can you check whether you have any old posts under [sf_frm_Post] table of your database? You can sort the items by DateCreated. Check whether SchemaVersion in  sf_frm_Variables table is the same as your current Sitefinity build version ( say 2057 for Sitefinity 3.7 SP2). In case the version you have for SchemaVersion is not the same as the current version of Sitefinity you use, please change SchemaVersion to 1, then save the value. Go to the backend and click on Forums module. This will cause initialization and sf_frm_Variables table should be updated with the correct version. Then check whether the posts are still missing. If there are no posts in sf_frm_Post this means that there are lost during upgrade or deleted in on or another way.  If you could send the database as requested in the bug report we could see what is going wrong. I am not sure from which version you are upgrading.

    Sincerely yours,

    Ivan,

I replied to the support ticket and have not heard back from you.

Where can I send the database. We tried your fix and it was unsuccessful.

    Thanks,
    Michelle

    Hi Michelle Newton,

You have not replied to the bug report. Please check out your account. You have only two tickets there - one bug report and this forum post. If the database is not larger that 20 MB you can attach it to the bug report request. Otherwise you have to provide us with FTP or external link from where we could download it. I need to old database which you are upgrading and some more details about the current version you use.  I will perform upgrade and see whether the post will be visible or not.

We tried your fix and it was unsuccessful.

Do you have any old posts in the database?

    Sincerely yours,
