    Hi all,

    We have our Sitefinity admin console running under a Web farm: test.domain.com. The Web farm is made of two Web servers, webserver1 and 2.

    We notice that when accessing Sitefinity admin console by using the URL test.domain.com/sitefinity, when we navigate through the admin pages it occasionally kicks us out of the admin Web site and back to the admin login page.

    However, if we always access Sitefinity admin directly as in using webserver1/sitefinity or webserver2/sitefinity it always works fine, never fails.

    Are there special config steps I need to perform to make Sitefinity admin console work on the Web farm? We have configured SQL-based persistent user sessions, we have a hardware load balancer for the Web farm, and we have site files stored on a UNC path to which both webserver 1 and 2 point, if that helps to know.

    Any best practices that we should follow for using Sitefinity on a Web farm?

    enableviewstatemac=false, same encryption keys per server, etc?

    Hello Adam,

    The only Sitefinity related thing, you should consider in a Web Farm, is to set the cacheDependency mode to InDatabase:
            <caching defaultProvider="memoryCache"
                <cacheDependency mode="InDatabase"/>

    As for the particular problem with redirecting to the login, please make sure that you have set the machine key in the web.config:

    Let us know how it goes.

    Sincerely yours,
