    Hi Zubair,

    This is a known issue.

    Please try to delete the whole onmouseup="javascript:OverlayProgressPanel();" event in the PagePropertiesEdit.ascx template, located in \[YourProject]\Sitefinity\Admin\ControlTemplates\Pages. We suggest you to backup this file first.

    A possible cause of a parse error could be the reason that Telerik AJAX is like a mini postback, and the page returns Tracing info too. Turning off Tracing could resolve the issue. This can be done in the web.config file:

    <configuration>
      <system.web>
        <trace enabled="false" requestLimit="10" pageOutput="false"
        traceMode="SortByTime" localOnly="true" />
      </system.web>
    </configuration>

    Here are a couple of suggestions that could help you sort out the issue, if the code above doesn't fix your problem.

    All the best,

    Has this issue been resolved in the current Community Edition 3.5 release?  I am getting the same error message when checking the External Page Radio Button control using the 3.5 release.  This was not happening on our dev server, but on our production system it is.  Was this issue related to the release of the asp.net 2.0 prior to the sp1 release?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello Brook,

    We found that this is an MS Ajax issue, which is also related to the ASP.NET RoleManagerModule http module (you can see the actual exception in the ~/App_Data/sitefinity.log file). This is fixed in some of the .net service packs, and for sure inthe .NET 3.5 Ajax Web Extensions.
    We found a workaround for it - set cacheRolesInCookie attribute of the system.web/roleManager to false in the web.config:
    <roleManager enabled="true" cacheRolesInCookie="false" defaultProvider="Sitefinity">

    Let us know about the results this time.

    Kind regards,
    Georgi
