Template in edit mode cannot be saved or cancelled

    Hey there,

    When I am in template's edit mode, I can't save or cancel the changes I made. This problem is caused when I am trying to include one of my custom controls on the page, otherwise it works fine when I am adding any other controls.
    Funny thing is that Sitefinity makes the save; when I go back in the templates area, I can see the control has been added on my page. But not when I preview the site.

    I tried to delete the template and reimport it again, no success.
    I also add the <pages enableEventValidation="false"> and <pages validateRequest="false">, no success again.

    I have the latest version installed (3.6 - v1936).

    Hello Pascal,

    Thank you for using our services.

    The behavior that you are describing may come from the fact that your user controls have PostBack Url set in them. This causes Sitefinity pages and templates to "freeze" and behave as described. You can look at Sitefinity page freezes in Edit mode KB article for more information.

    One more thing. Sitefinity Standard Edition supports versioning of pages and templates (see attached image).  That means that when a problem like this occurs you can roll back to a working version of the page/template. Please note that this is not available in Community Edition.
