    First, a few facts:

    1. We have a web site with an additional culture, i.e., support for English and Japanese:

    <localization defaultProvider="Sitefinity" persistenceMode="QueryString" autoSetClientLanguage="false" defaultCulture="en" cultures="en, ja" allowSpecificCultures="True">

    2. A "document" library was created and named "Japan Documents".
    a. Type: Document Library
    b. Size restrictions: none
    c. Cache options: Enable caching / Use default settings
    d. How long should the browser cache an image or a document? Until the image or the document is changed

    3. Sitefinity 3.7 SP3; standard (.NET 3.5)

    Problem description:

    1. I'm logging into SItefinity.
    2. I change the language to Japanese **
    3. I click on Modules, Images & Documents, then the above document library, Japan Documents.
    4. Finally, I attempt to upload a PDF document named "Test.pdf"
    5. I receive the following error:

    ** This is important, because the upload works if the selected language is English

    Some files could not be uploaded successfully.

    The following files:
        * Test.pdf

    could not be uploaded because it is not a valid browser viewable image. Image gallery should contain only browser viewable images.

    [Proceed Anyway] or Undo upload

    I've attached a few screenshots showing the error.

    Hi Chris,

    There is no multilingual support for the Images and Documents module. Unfortunately if you want to upload documents for specific language, it would be best if you use different library for the different language.

    Do you reproduce the same problem if you upload the files in English only?

    No, the problem is only manifested when the selected language is _not_ English. So, when English is the selected language, the uploads work as expected.

    Hi Chris ,

    Could you check App_Data/Sitefinity.log for some errors that are thrown during uploading?

    No errors are being written to App_Data/Sitefinity.log. I verified this by deleting the existing log file and reproducing the error three times consecutively, but there is no log file.

    Hi Chris,

    I am not able to replicate this issue with Sitefinity 3.7 SP4. Please take a look at attached short video and let me know if I am missing a step.
    Could you check if the issue is browser related - try using FireFox.
    Can you install a new project and try to replicate the issue on it
    Can you run the project through Visual Studio web server and see if the upload will fail.

    It might very well be a non-issue for SP4. The client is preparing to update to SP4 within the next couple of weeks, so I'll look revisit this after the upgrade.

    Thank you.
