We are having an interesting issue with a recently deployed site on SF3.7 SP3, which did not appear until Production. About 10% of calls made to WebResource.axd for the Breadcrumb control fail. That is, we get an HTTP 302 redirect to our custom 404 error page. The resource being requested is an invisible image used for accessibility, according to Sitefinity's documentation.
In FireFox, this causes the "Skip Navigation Link" alt text for this image to appear, which seems out of place on the page, as it was not accounted for and is styled inappropriately.
Do you have any suggestions or ideas why almost every call to WebResources.axd would successfully return this image, but a random sampling would fail? My short term fix involves adding a style to set any image in the breadcrumb control to "display: none;" and hopefully that style will still apply to the alt text shown when an image can't be found. For the long term, I'd prefer to just have that image returned successfully 100% of the time.
