    Hi,
Is it possible to make some pages use the workflow approve, publish etc mechanism and others not?

Also do users receive email notification on forums if people reply to their threads?

    Thanks,

    Alex

    Hi Alex,

The workflow mechanism can be enabled or disabled for particular modules (using the allowWorkflow property), but it cannot be used for particular pages only. When you set allowPageWorkflow to true, you enable workflow for all the pages.
As for email-notifications when replying to forum threads, currently there is not such an option in the Forums module. In version 3.2 we plan to implement Notifications module, and developers will have the ability to use API functions to develop such functionality wherever they would like to have it, for example in forum threads, in blog comments and so on.
It is actually a good idea to have such email notifications built-in the Forums module, allowing the user to make their choice. So we will definitely discuss this.

Let us know if we could help out with anything else.

    Greetings,
    Georgi

what about disabling workflow on a per-user or per-role basis? that way administrators can go straight to publish without having to go through the approval process. can this be done?

    Hello SelArom,

The implementation of the workflow is such that the workflow state belongs to the object created. Unfortunately, disabling workflow per user or per role is not possible with the current implementation.

    Kind regards,
