cannot upload masterpage to server

    Hello,

    I have made a new template for my site and when i try to upload the master page on my web server i can't.
    Why is that happening? Any solution?

    Hello Giorgos,

    Do you receive any error messages? It's possible that you do not have File IO permissions over the App_Master directory. You can check that. 

    If this does not help, please clear the Sitefinity.log file (in App_Data), reproduce the problem and send us the log file - it should contain more information about the problem.

    How i wil check the File IO permissions over the App_Master?

    Hi Giorgos,

    Open the App_Data in Windows explored and check the permissions over this folder. It will be helpful if you post the error you are getting or elaborate some more about the behavior you experience.

    I did something else and it worked.
    I uploaded the new master page through ftp and after 30 minutes i saw the new template in the list.
    Why is this happening? Why the nwe template appears imediatelly?

    You have to restart the application to see the uploaded template.
