    Hi,

    I am helping a client get a site running with Sitefinity 3.6 Community Edition. Most things are working fine but the font on the Events Listing page is way too big. I can not figure out how to change it. I have looked at the resulting HTML and can see the name of the CSS classes used but can not find a reference to these classes in any of the Style Sheet files. How do I change the fonts on this page?

    Thanks

    John Turner

    Hi imaginarylight,

    Generally the style of  title links, dates and other text in ListPageMaster template for EventsView control comes from the theme that your page uses and some embedded classes.

    To style the appearance of the control there are two options.

    1. Add classes to your theme css file.

    Sample code:

    .sf_eventsList .sf_eventTitle {

    font-size:1.2em;

    2. Create a custom skin to style the control.
    2.1. You need to map the external template - ListPageMaster/ListPageDetail
    2.2. Add cssFileLink control and set the path to your css file.

    <telerik:CssFileLink ID="CssFileLink2" FileName="~/CustomSkins/eventsCommonLayout.css" Media="screen" runat="server" />

    I attached a sample css file that can be used when changing the appearance of the control. If you need further assistance, let us know.

    Kind regards,
    Ivan Dimitrov

    Hi Ivan,

    Thanks for the reply. I have tried adding the style information into the style sheet for the Theme but it does not change anything. Since the style definitions were not in any files originally, where do the current font sizes and colours come from? Are they built into the control library or something?

    Also, my client does not want the country and state to show up in the details but does want the city and street. How do I go about editing that?

    Thanks

    John

    Hi imaginarylight,

    Have you tried using !important statement. Also you can observe the exact class the is set to the title with Firebug, so that you will know from where the styling comes from. If you can provide a live link I can do this for you and then let you know what you need to change. Currently I am just guide you on abstract level.

    Also, my client does not want the country and state to show up in the details but does want the city and street. How do I go about editing that?

    Please take a look at the following forum post.

    Hi Ivan,

    The live link to the events page is;

    http://holstein.ilpnet.com/listofevents.aspx

    I am not familiar with the !important statement you are talking about but I will research it.

    As for the second part relating to fields displayed in the event detail, the file referenced in the post you provided is not present in the version of Sitefinity (3.6) I have installed. I do not have any folder called Modes Under ControlTemplates\Events and do not have a Design folder under Admin\ControlTemplates\Events. What am I doing wrong?

    Hi imaginarylight,

    The style comes from http://holstein.ilpnet.com/App_Themes/Classic-Red/company.css. It is the theme of your project. So you can follow one of the suggestions I made in my previous post.
    "To style the appearance of the control there are two options.
    1. Add classes to your theme css file......"

    The easiest way is adding the class below to company.css

    .sf_eventsList .sf_eventTitle {
    font-size:1em !important;

    Hi Ivan,

    I had originally added the CSS code into that file but it didn't change anything. I just put the !important tag into the CSS file on my local test system and it did the trick.

    Thanks
