I have a template that I changed the PathSeparator CssClass property of a breadcrumb control.

This is the first thing I tried to do after upgrading from SF3.5 to SF3.5 SP1.

After I saved it, I get the following error. Please note that it works on the live site.

    Server Error in '/' Application.

Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. Please review the stack trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code.

Exception Details: System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

    Source Error:

An unhandled exception was generated during the execution of the current web request. Information regarding the origin and location of the exception can be identified using the exception stack trace below.

To get rid of this error, I had to:

    DELETE FROM sf_StagedCtrlLinks WHERE ControlID = 'EBE7ED83-42E8-46EF-A281-C6246BF4A3DA'

Do controls not get deleted cleanly sometimes?

    Hi chris_cf,

The controls should be deleted automatically everytime, if you are working only from the administration or with our APIs. If you have previously performed some database operations manually, some relations could be still kept.

Since we couldn't see the same behavior locally, could you send us your database if this happen again?
    Thank you!

    Kind regards,
