    Is it possible to remove the Title from all news items? I only want to show the 'Summary' field in the list.

    Thanks for your time.

    Hello Ant Lu,

     There is a pretty easy way for this. Below are the steps that you should follow

    1. Map the external template for NewsView control designer NewsViewControlDesigner.ascx. You can take a look at this KB article how to map an external template

    2. After the designer has been successfully mapped you need to modify its TextSettings controls and set the following property AllowVisibilitySetting to True for each TextSettings control that has TargetID="fullContent1"

    Example:

    <MasterHeaderTemplate>
                       <h4>For every item in the news list, display:</h4>
                       <ul>
                   </MasterHeaderTemplate>
                   <MasterSettings>
                       <sfDesignSettings:TextSetting ID="TextSetting1"
                           TargetID="fullContent1"
                           SettingTitle="Title, linking to the full article"
                           AllowLabelSetting="False"
                           AllowFormatSetting="False"
                           AllowVisibilitySetting="True"
                           TargetVisibleByDefault="True">
                       </sfDesignSettings:TextSetting>

    Then drop NewsView control on a page and go to "NewsSettings". From there you will be able to hide the title using the UI.

    Kind regards,
